Help celebrate the 100th anniversary of women’s suffrage by joining Los Altos’ festive car parade, scheduled on Women’s Equality Day, August 26.
Current and former female Council members will ride the parade route that begins at Lincoln Park, proceeds through downtown, winds over to Heritage Oaks Park, and ends at the Los Altos History Museum – where the Museum’s outdoor exhibit, “Rise Up! The Fight for Women’s Suffrage” is on display.
Members of the public may join from behind the wheel (advance registration suggested); or cheer from the roadside. Dressing in suffragette theme/costume is encouraged!
