Panelists will discuss how smart technology can conserve 60-70% of the water used in irrigation systems. The Los Altos Heritage Orchard will be a test case, demonstrating the conversion from outdated rainbird sprinkler heads to drip irrigation, and the anticipated benefits.

The panel will discuss the various approaches to water conservation and demonstrate how citizens can adapt similar technology on their own properties to conserve water.
This event is free to attend and will take place over Zoom. The event is in support of the exhibition, “Community Orchard Art” appearing in the J. Gilbert Smith House Gallery September 30, 2021 – February 20, 2022.
