Understanding Silicon Valley’s Workforce Issues: A Conversation with Reporter Ethan Baron

Ethan Baron, Business Reporter at the San Jose Mercury News and a resident of Los Altos, shares his unique perspective from nearly a decade of covering Silicon Valleys economic challenges, including those stemming from COVID-19 and workforce dynamics.

About the Program
Join Ethan Baron as he engages with a group of the Museums Teen Docents, who have meticulously prepared questions for him. Together, they will shed light on the impacts of stay-at-home orders and remote work on critical economic infrastructures like H-1B visa programs, as well as other topics and international workforce concerns.

Baron’s extensive career spans roles as a reporter, columnist, editor, and photographer across newspapers and magazines. His coverage has ranged from business and politics to social issues, crime, the environment, outdoor sports, war, and humanitarian crises.
