Join author Lynn Stegner for intimate insights on the Pulitzer-Prize winning author and groundbreaking environmentalist Wallace Stegner. Hear her memorable stories about “Wally,” stories only a fellow author and family member can tell.
Lynn Stegner is the author of six works of fiction, including a novella and short story collection. Her work has received numerous awards including the Faulkner Award for Best Novel for Because a Fire Was in My Head—which was also a New York Times Editors’ Choice, a BookSense Pick, and a Literary Ventures Selection. She wrote the extended critical introduction to her father-in-law’s short fiction, Collected Stories of Wallace Stegner, and edited and wrote the foreword to the Penguin edition Wallace Stegner: On Teaching and Writing Fiction. Her writings include collaborations with conservation biologists and paleontologists. Over the years, fellowships from the NEA, the Fulbright Society, and the Western States Arts Council have recognized the literary distinction of her work. She teaches novel and fiction writing for Stanford Continuing Studies.
