Event Details

Meet neighbors, enjoy wine and refreshments, and learn about the history of the area along Los Altos Avenue. From the early dispute over the boundary with Mountain View on the north end to the estates near downtown on the south end—and the creation of Santa Rita school and the birth of Adobe Systems in between—this neighborhood teems with fascinating stories.
The Museum will display historic photographs and share information about street names and locations to get the conversation started. Then we’ll ask you to tell us what the Sweet Shop was called when you were growing up, or where your children played along the creek, or who your favorite teachers were at Egan.
The neighborhood block party is an opportunity for you to learn more about where you live while helping the Museum increase our understanding of the many fascinating people and events that make the area unique. As a special treat, Rich Shah, a local in the neighborhood, will provide music with his jazz trio.
