Event Details

In the midst of a historic drought, the Museum invites the public to consider the importance and preservation of the Los Altos Heritage Orchard with an apricot-themed art exhibit and groundbreaking ceremony.
The groundbreaking ceremony will celebrate a water-conservation grant to improve irrigation, and will be held in the landmark orchard.
Nearby in J. Gilbert Smith House, an artist meet-and-greet will take place to celebrate the opening of the exhibit that pays tribute to the area’s apricot orchards.
Free to attend and open to all. No reservation required.
This programming is in support of the exhibition, “Community Orchard Art” appearing in the J. Gilbert Smith House Gallery September 30, 2021 – February 20, 2022.
