The Association of the Los Altos Historical Museum commonly known as the Los Altos History Museum (“LAHM”) provides the content on its website (https:/losaltoshistory.org), including but not limited to text, images, audio and video (the “Content”), in support of its mission to inspire imagination, stimulate thought and transform society. LAHM preserves and shares our local history to enrich our community and to shape a more informed future. Visitors are invited to use the online Content for personal, educational and other non-commercial purposes. BY USING THE LAHM WEBSITE, YOU ACCEPT AND AGREE TO ABIDE BY THE FOLLOWING TERMS.

The Los Altos History Museum (“LAHM”) respects the privacy of its patrons when visiting the LAHM website, purchasing a membership, making a donation or buying an event or program ticket. LAHM does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information about individuals, such as names, addresses, email addresses, telephone numbers, and credit/debit card numbers (“Personal Information”), unless the individual voluntarily provides it.
This LAHM Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) governs the use and disclosure of Personal Information.
Visiting LAHM in person or using the LAHM website indicates you accept the terms of the Privacy Policy. When providing Personal Information, you consent to LAHM’s collection and use of it in accordance with this Privacy Policy, as it may be revised from time to time.

Memberships and Donations
When you purchase a membership or make a donation to LAHM, LAHM will ask you to provide the Personal Information needed to process your membership and/or to acknowledge your contribution. Your credit card information will be used only as needed to process your transaction. LAHM retains member and donor-related information only as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this policy unless a longer retention period is required by law. For example, tax laws in the United States and the State of California may require LAHM to keep contact information and contribution level of donors on file.
Third Party Processing
The third parties’ practices in connection with the ordering, processing, and delivery of the Museum’s products are subject to their own privacy policies.
Children
LAHM does not solicit Personal Information from children on its website. Children thirteen years of age and under must obtain their parent’s permission before providing Personal Information to the LAHM website or when purchasing products or services from LAHM online.
Photography at the Museum and Expectation of Privacy During In-Person Visits
Still photography and short smartphone videos (“Photography”) are generally allowed at LAHM, both at exhibits and special events, for non-commercial use only. For certain exhibits, Photography may be restricted or prohibited at LAHM’s discretion. Professional or commercial photographers wishing to take pictures should contact LAHM for permission.
LAHM is a public place and photography is generally permitted. Visitors coming to LAHM acknowledge and accept that there is no expectation of privacy when visiting LAHM in person.
Updates and Revisions
LAHM reserves the right to revise this Privacy Policy from time to time without notice by posting a revised privacy policy on the LAHM website. You should periodically check for any changes to the current policy. By continuing to use the LAHM website, you agree to the Privacy Policy as amended.
