Explore the world of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) at Los Altos History Museum’s Apricot STEM Fair. The family-friendly event offers hands-on STEM activities that highlight the journey of humans – and apricots – to the Santa Clara Valley, and their future travels. The event is scheduled 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 29 in the museum’s courtyard.

“The Apricot STEM Fair is an opportunity for all ages to delve into the history of this area, especially given its rapid evolution, while connecting with the local community through engaging and fun activities,” said Lillie Moore, education and volunteer coordinator.

Activities at the fair include egg-drop experiments, rocket launches, robot operations, Mars colonization simulations, boat building, sun-drying apricots and apricot-themed games. Attendees can pedal a bicycle-powered blender courtesy of GreenTown Los Altos, unleash their creativity with craft fun provided by Los Altos Library, and learn how seeds travel with an educational activity from Living Classroom…more.
