Orchard gets face-lift as museum collaborates with new orchardist

A transformation is underway at the Los Altos Heritage Orchard, as pruning and planting activities, combined with the installation of a drip irrigation system, are breathing new life into the historical landmark.

At the helm of the projects is the Los Altos History Museum’s Orchard Commons Committee, led by chairperson Jane Packard and Terence Welch, a seasoned orchardist with 45 years of fruit-growing expertise. Collectively, they are working to implement best practices in maintaining and renovating the orchard to preserve its legacy.
