New Quilts for the Fall Season:
exhibit

By Hand: American Women with Needle & Thread
Now on exhibit through October 31, 2010

The current exhibition, By Hand: American Women with Needle and Thread, showcasing a variety of beautiful old and newer quilts and other handiwork, has been warmly received and enjoyed by many visitors.

Now, a new set of heirloom quilts, again produced from the closets and trunks of local residents, replaced the former ones. The autumn season of the By Hand exhibition will hang until October 31. The quilts, a true American art form – admired, used in everyday life and loved throughout America’s history, are worth a first visit – or a second look.
